HiWay term 2

APWB’s youth group (known affectionately as HiWay) is open to all High School students and is held at the St George’s church hall Victor St Birkdale every Friday during school term from 7pm to 9pm.

On any given Friday night, if you happen to go past St George’s, it is highly likely you will hear squeals, laughter and chattering emanating from the hall. Come along and you may learn to hone your PlayStation skills, add to your cooking repertoire, play pumpkin lawn bowls, glow in the dark or develop dramatic flair and you will definitely have a great time. We have a couple of excursions each term such as rock climbing, ice skating and kayaking, and we try to get to every Youth Alive event in Brisbane.

At HiWay we also explore the whole ‘knowing Christ and making him known’ idea through discussions, media, music and the bible, aiming to find out where God fits in the real world.
