Originally from Victoria , Gill became a committed Christian at the age of 29 and has continued to be constantly involved within a variety of Church communities, including interstate.
Over many years, Gill held leadership roles in Children’s ministries, Christian Education in schools, church choirs, small groups, establishing church libraries, as well as leadership within the Church Worship context and conducting Services within community Aged Care facilities.
At different times, Gill also worked part-time as a senior registered Nurse in a variety of Hospital settings i.e. surgical, midwifery, rehabilitation and Aged Care.
In the year 2001, Gill graduated with a Diploma of Ministry ( MCD), after studying part-time over a number of years at Churches of Christ and Whitley Colleges in Melbourne.
During these student years she continued in her Church commitments and later accepted paid employment in a Hospital Chaplaincy role within an Aged Care facility.
Gill greatly enjoyed this ministry until deciding to retire 7 years later when her husband, Ron, took early retirement .
Gill leads the Outreach Team in the parish and is heavily involved with pastoral care.
She and Ron have been married for 44 years and have been greatly blessed with 3 adult children and 6 grandchildren.
They recently settled in the lovely Redlands near the sea and enjoy travelling and belonging to Redlands U3A and a local Probus Group.
