Jide Oyewole

Jide was born in Ibadan, South West Nigeria to an Anglican Family of Samuel and Felicia Oyewole.

He had elementary, secondary and vocational education in Nigeria.

Jide worked in construction and property maintenance industries. In the course of his stint as a Construction ‎Supervisor, he was involved in the construction of the Data Processing Centres used by the National Population Commission in Nigeria for the 1991 Census.

Jide migrated to Australia in 2002 where he met his wife Tanya.

They were married in 2004 and are blessed with four children – Funke, Lusiane, Lami and Felicia.

Since arriving in Australia, Jide worked with various organisations‎, notable amongst which was Mater Health Services in South Brisbane as a Plumbing Technician and Casual Project Officer.

He left the Mater in 2010 and started a private business in 2012 of Mould Remediation and Property Maintenance Services.

Jide’s Christian life started at his birth into a family of devout Christians, who were deeply involved with the Church and it’s mission.

He had always attended the Cathedral Church and was in the Choir at some point, hence the struggle with transition to a smaller church and its dynamics.

Jide was Confirmed in the Anglican church in August 1980, making him eligible at that time to take the sacrament of ‎Holy Communion.

He met with the Lord Spiritually at the Men 57 Cursillo Mananita, where he was overwhelmed by the Holy Spirit.

His Passion for the Lord is deeply entrenched in his belief that all things start and end with God, and the need to ensure generational transition of The Gospel of Christ to the young.

Jide is involved with the Young Families Ministry within the parish.

So Prayer remains the key to access God’s Grace and Blessings at all times.
