Dear Sisters and Brothers in Christ,
This past month we have been journeying together through the season of
Advent. A time in our liturgical calendar when we wait expectantly for the
coming of Christ and prepare to celebrate the first Christmas. Lots has been
done both spiritually and practically. A big thank you to all who have
contributed to the recent activities in the parish.
It was wonderful on Thursday to celebrate Christmas at our Friendship Service.

to present all the gifts that we have collected for children in foster care in our
We have also been celebrating Christmas at the local nursing homes and the
residents enjoyed receiving the handmade gifts they were given. These gifts are
lovingly made by our Crafty Capers group each year. This year there was the
added bonus of being able to present each nursing home with a Nativity Scene
that was made by the children with help from the Sunday School teachers. It
has been fantastic to see the way our parish is intentionally reaching out to our
community and showing the face of Christ to others. My hope and prayer is
that we continue to reach out to others to show God’s love to all.
God’s peace, Scott
