Christmas Service Times

Let me begin by inviting you to join our Christmas celebrations this year. See above or below for details of times.

Christmas Under the Stars at 6:30pm on Christmas Eve we have our special Christmas Family Worship at St George’s Birkdale. Bring your blankets for those who would like to sit at the front on the grass and folding chairs for the rest. Our worship includes some of the old favourites. However the children will be fully included and are invited to come dressed as their favourite Nativity character. There will be a narrated nativity, the children can join in and be caught up in the wonder of Christmas.

Our traditional Christmas midnight service is also very popular. We commence with a couple of the favourite Christmas Carols and sing additional Carols during the Communion service. With a full church we feel as though the singing will lift the roof. Families with teenagers enjoy this traditional worship as the young people can go home afterwards and sleep in if they wish.
Many regard Christmas day as Christmas and they prefer to come at 8am to start Christmas with a joyful celebration.

What ever suits your family we encourage you to come along sing carols, hear once again the timeless stories and be immersed in the love of God and the wonder of Christmas.

Whichever service you may choose to attend, may it be a time of great joy and reflection during your Christmas observance.
